One of our favourite Gumnut Babies Snugglepot and Cuddlepie stories is “The Dragonfly Races” so we made these easy and very cute Dragonflies to play with and race.
You’ll need:
- Some card for wings
- Pipecleaners
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
How to:
Cut your small pieces of card into two strips for wings. Fold each over into three so the ends meet in the middle. Secure with a little glue. Join them together to form wings with another little dab of glue and set aside to dry.
To make the Dragonfly take one pipe cleaner end and fold it about ⅔ the way down to the other end. Pop the wings in and secure them by twisting the pipe cleaner on either side of the wings.
Bend out the folded end of the pipecleaner to form the head shape. Glue on your googly eyes.
Ta Dah Beautiful Dragonflies to race off and play with just like Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.
