At MayGibbs.org, we are terribly fond of Sydney writers! This year, we’re especially proud to see May Gibbs featured at the Sydney Writers’ Festival. The Sydney Writers’ Festival has an amazing kids and young adult line up this year, including a gigantic Snugglepot and Cuddlepie colouring in wall. Pack your crayons, pencils and markers and take the kids to the festival this Sunday.
Sydney Writers’ Festival Kids Program
Writers, illustrators, contemporary kids favourites… the Sydney Writers’ Festival line up features speakers and guests from all fields of children’s’ writing. Want to listen to Levi Pinfold talk about his work illustrating the magical world of Harry Potter? Or maybe watch some beloved kids illustrators battle it out live? Have a child who is mad for Emily Rodda’s Deltora Quest books? You can even learn more about the life and times of the much loved character Grug. No matter how old your little people or what piques their interest, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to deepen their passion for books.
The festival is on all week, with free and premium event tickets still available here.
