Out and about on a Winter’s day!

Sunny Winter days are perfect for getting outdoors and discovering new things. Let’s rug up and go exploring with some Australian Bush inspired binoculars.

You’ll need:

  • Cardboard rolls
  • Fabric or paper to cover your binoculars
  • String
  • Leaves and gumnuts to decorate
  • Scissors
  • PVA or hot glue

How to:

Note: If you can use hot glue, this craft is so quick and easy you’ll be out exploring in minute. If using PVA, you’ll need to allow for a little drying time.

Step 1: To start, run a little glue down the length of your cardboard rolls and stick them together to form the binoculars.

Step 2: Cover the binoculars with some green scrap fabric or paper and trim it down to size.

Step 3: Once dry, use some jute string or similar to wrap around the rolls and secure with a knot.

Step 4: Time to decorate! Add some gum leaves and few other little bush treasures to your binoculars for an Australiana flavour

You are now ready to head outdoors and start discovering!
